Wild about Whisky was opened in 2006 as a cosy little whisky bar. It still
retains the cosiness but now boasts the largest whisky menu in the southern
hemisphere.
Featuring over 500 whiskies, from Irish and Scotch single malts and blends, to
Japanese, American, Australian, South African and Indian whiskies. The bar is
open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm, except on Fridays when closing time is
around 9pm. Tutored whisky tastings are the speciality, with a slant on whisky
production, and are conducted anytime. Booking is recommended for groups of 4 and
over.
The bar also doubles as an art gallery, featuring water colour, acrylic and oil
paintings by local artists.
For those cold winters an open fireplace is situated in the corner of the bar,
so why not try one of Eve's Irish coffees (the best in SA) or an Illy capuccino?
